About

We say what actually happened.

A software company in Lagos, building our own products and taking on work we would put our name under.

The name

Bawssly, said BOSS-lee

It comes from Bawse: confident, independent, caring. The suffix makes it a way of working rather than a title somebody claims for themselves.

The confidence points outward, at the people we build for. So there is no crown in our logo and there never will be.

How we work

Four things we do not negotiate

We say what happened
Every project has a bad week. Ours arrive in writing, from us, while they are still cheap.
We write it down
Decisions keep their reasons attached, so the answer does not depend on who is still in the room.
We build for the boring case
Retries, reconciliation, the empty state, the second tap. None of it demos well.
We take less work
A few contracts at a time. Work we cannot do well is work somebody else should have.

The mark

Three cells stamped, one left open

Adire is Yoruba resist dyed cloth, where the pattern is the part the dye never reached. Ours has one product shipped, one in build, and room we have not filled.

Tell us what you are trying to build.
